A grenade blast in the Zangali area of Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, killed three children and injured two others, rescue officials said.

According to police, the children were playing with a grenade as a toy, during which it exploded. Initially, police said that two children were killed and three others were injured in the blast.

However, SP President Zone Waqar Ahmed later confirmed the death of the third child, saying he died while undergoing treatment at Lady Reading Hospital. As soon as the report of the blast was received, two ambulances of Rescue 1122 reached the spot and started the rescue operations. Have also occurred.

A spokeswoman for Lady Reading Hospital said three people injured in the grenade blast were taken to hospital. The injured were aged 5, 12 and 14, and one child was in critical condition.

The LRH spokesman also said that the condition of one of the injured children was critical and efforts were being made to save his life.
