لاہور (اردو پوائنٹ تازہ ترین اخبار۔20جون 2020ء ) وقار یونس ورلڈکپ 2019ء میں بھارت سے شکست نہ بھول پائے، انھوں نے کہا ہے کہ غلط فیصلے پاکستان ٹیم کو لے ڈوبے تھے۔ ورلڈکپ 2019ء میں پاکستان کو بھارت کے ہاتھوں 89 رنز سے شکست ہوئی، میگا ایونٹس میں گرین شرٹس نے روایتی حریف کے مقابل مسلسل ساتویں ناکامی کا منہ دیکھا۔ ایک انٹرویو میں اس حوالے سے گفتگوکرتے ہوئے وقار یونس نے کہا کہ پاکستان نے اس میچ میں شروع سے آخر تک غلط فیصلے کیے، ٹاس جیت کر بولنگ کا فیصلہ کیا گیا، ان کا خیال تھا کہ پچ سے مدد ملے گی اور ابتدا میں ہی وکٹیں حاصل کرتے ہوئے بلو شرٹس کو دباؤ میں لے آئیں گے لیکن فیصلہ انتہائی غلط ثابت ہوا، اوپنرز روہت شرما اور لوکیش راول نے بولرز کے تمام حربے ناکام بناتے ہوئے 136 کی شراکت قائم کردی،بعد ازاں گرین شرٹس کی میچ پر گرفت ڈھیلی پڑتی گئی۔
قومی ٹیم کے موجودہ بولنگ کوچ نے کہا کہ روایتی حریفوں کے میچز میں کوئی نہ کوئی ایسی انفرادی پرفارمنس سامنے آتی ہے جو یادگار بن جاتی ہے،ورلڈکپ 2003ء میں سچن ٹنڈولکر نے پاکستان کی مضبوط بولنگ لائن اپ کا امتحان لیا، 274کے ہدف کا تعاقب کرتے ہوئے انھوں نے میدان کے چاروں طرف اسٹروکس کھیلے، سخت دباؤ کی صورتحال میں شعیب اختر، وسیم اکرم اور میری بولنگ کا سامنا کیا، ابتدا میں ہی تیزی سے رنز بھی بٹورے،یہ ایک حیران کن اننگز تھی،اگر ٹنڈولکر سے پوچھیں تو شاید وہ بھی اسے اپنی بہترین اننگز قرار دیں۔
یاد رہے کی بھارتی اسٹار اس میچ میں صرف 2 رنز کے فرق سے سنچری مکمل نہیں کرپائے تھے، البتہ انھوں نے اچھا آغاز فراہم کرکے اپنی ٹیم کی 6وکٹ سے آسان فتح میں اہم کردار ادا کیا تھا۔
