Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior central leader and former federal minister Humayun Akhtar Khan has said that the parties in the opposition alliance could not “long” their own politics with the announcement of the Long March.
It has shrunk, Prime Minister Imran Khan has put his caste and politics aside and made decisions in the best interest of the country and the nation, the opposition has been exposed as an obstacle to the transparency of the Senate elections.
In a statement, he said that the government was not intimidated by the announcement of the PDM’s long march as the opposition itself did not yet know whether it would be able to hold a long march or not.
The PPP has no political power in Punjab while the PML-N is divided and the long march is sure to be similar to the Lahore rally. The opposition is reluctant to do so.
Humayun Akhtar Khan said that the government has proposed measures for the open ballot to ensure transparency of Senate elections; the government has also approached the apex court and will respect the decision. In this whole process, the reality of the opposition has come out in the open and the veil has been removed from their faces.
